ARPA-E

US Government’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) advances high-potential, high-impact energy technologies that are too early for private-sector investment. ARPA-E awardees are unique because they are developing entirely new ways to generate, store, and use energy. SDA provided power electronic package design, prototyping, GaN backend process development (dicing using Laser/Diamond Scribe & Break), transfer to overseas volume manufacturing, thermal design and simulation, etc.

 

 

Peco / InspX

Peco | InspX a leading provider of inspection systems for the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries at high speeds. From X-Ray inspection to fill level detection, Peco | InspX equipment addresses a broad range of inspection applications. SDA provided mechanical design using SolidWorks and Finite Element simulation (FEA) using Comsol.

 

 

Bayside Design (now a subsidiary of Socionext)

Socionext is a system on a chip company formed in March 2015 from former system LSI businesses of Fujitsu and Panasonic. It has about 2,500 employees worldwide and is headquartered in Yokohama, Japan. SDA provides various design support services including Flotherm simulations for JEDEC thermal resistance calculation, general thermal design for electronic hardware, heatsink selection, package mechanical design including high speed connectivity for Datacenter and enterprise applications.
